This journal will mention who wields the highest authority in my Dieselpunk-world countries and nations.
the Kingdom of Ostrogothia: King Friedrich Ulzing Lichterhaus-Straben III of Ostrogothia. A seasoned ruler who saw his fair share of conflict. Even after the 5-year war with the Arctic Federation this man has never let go of his ideals, it was due to his motivation and intense species that Ostrogothia flourished. However, married to his country, this die-hard nationalist has never found love, and has never given birth to an heir.
The United Republic: President Bruce Twain. although actually nothing but a puppet for the senate, this idealistic president does his utter best to fight the political corruption that takes control over his country, mostly in vain, he mops up only for scandal after scandal of the senate.
The Arctican Federation: professor Ulysses Strauss. A brilliant man in every aspect, after a lifetime of working as an independent weapons' manufacturer, and being the driving force behind the development of laser and plasma weaponry. After seeing the devastation of the atomic bomb and his other weaponry on the world, he sank into a deep depression. when a request came in from the Republic to create a neural device that could force a human in complete obedience, he was furious. he responded like the gentleman he is, with a formal letter. he mentally resurrected himself... as a neo-human idealist. the Arctican federation was found, he built an army of idealists and developed weapons beyond the wonder and imagination of the most prominent general. and he would use them for one purpose only... to redeem humanity for it's sins.

Been a while
Yeah I'm not gonna pretend like this is another comeback, which i'll manage to maintain for like... a week at most? It's quite hard for me to balance a stable career alongside with my hobby and then also socializing in regards to that hobby. But I never seem quite able to really stay away from DA, too many roots here by this point. Which is fine by me. I'm kinda relieved that in the rollercoaster that is my life, I have a few places I can weigh my anchor. As I'm looking for a place to rent, making plans to meet up with my overseas significant other and transitioning out of the social workplace and into regular employment - I'm quite glad this place isn't really going anywhere. So how have you all been? ^^

Indeed observant one, I eh... well it's been a hectic first month at my new job. And when I am hard at work I go through artistic moods fast ^^; That's fine though. I did make stuff, but i'll wait till the next mood rolls around before i post any of it. Maybe an arsenal pic of my sci fi weapons or some new mechs. All good. Currently I'm in an urban fantasy mood. So expect to see less objects and moreso my attempt at making a historic north-European city's visual references. But don't worry, for those not interested in architecture or history or set-dressing and backgrounds. There'll be plenty of beautiful demons and other supernaturals to post. Advantage of designing uniforms is that you can postpone the creation of individualized outfits. Helps with creating side-characters. Anywho! I'm back! (drinking game idea - take a shot for everytime I said I'm back. You won't survive).
A little intermezzo
Hello there! - i'm glad that my work's still being faved an appreciated. I was honestly rather worried most people would've jumped ship on this platform. I'll be having a little interjection between uploads for two reasons: 1. I'm currently in a prominent sci-fi military mood. Which is great! - but it does take some time to reorient my creative efforts to that after doing modern-day and steampunk-fantasy stuff. 2. I'm working. Got myself a brand-spanking new job and with the whole hoopla around it means i need time to re-adjust there as well. Got good colleagues but most importantly, they're new colleagues so i need to focus on making sure I fit in on the workfloor and pull some extra hours before I put myself first again. Expect something sometime soon. Likely some alien species from my sci fi world, now that I have the """skill""" to make them. In addition to some minor factions and some more MTA mechs. Already made a collage of weapons for my mechs, but I got struck with
So about that .webp format thing.
Sometimes I feel like I all I do is whinge and whine when I do updates and journals. But good gods, does anyone have any suggestions on how i can rely as little as possible on this god-awful .webp format that has been popping up with a vengeance? Now that a few big sites and networks like wikia and reddit have been shoving it down my throat I can't seem to just download actually useable PNG/JPG images anymore except for a few niche corners here and there on the internet. As a graphic designer, most of the programs I use can't run the damn format and it's a tedium and a half to have to manually convert everything I download. I don't care that it takes up 'up to blah blah percent less space', I'd take double the file sizes if it means not having to deal with this format. I prefer images that can be opened in things other than just the photos app.
